Unleashing Your Fullest Potential

Potential

The other day I had a conversation with a friend of mine, a discussion that reminded me of the time when I decided to quit my “safe” job as an automotive engineer and to embrace a whole different career as a full-time trader. I had almost forgotten about all those inner questions that came up in my mind during those months of deep indecision.

Here I am to share it with you because I really believe there is some deep value from my experience. In fact, in addition to the “classic” questions about the real probabilities to be successful at this trading career (read more about them here), there was one more question I’ve really struggled to find out a meaningful answer to. The real essence is that I was missing the point.

In case you’re wondering about what this question was, here it is. What is the added value I’d be giving to society by performing the activity of day trading? At that point in time, I was acting as a software designer for automotive dashboards and I could not find an honest answer of why changing my job to the current trading career would have given a more positive influence in the world around me than what I was already doing.

Believe it or not, this one question got stuck into my mind for many months before I could actually figure it out. Again, I was totally missing the point. Since I wasn’t happy with what my professional life was offering me, it should have been way easier to realize that I couldn’t express the best version of myself in that situation. And discovering the passion of trading for me has been the main door for unleashing my fullest potential.

Pure Positivity And Hard Work Always Win

Actually, there is no limit in how much I can make a difference right now (and even more moving forward) by helping others achieve their best performances and, more generally speaking, by giving back what I’ve learned. It’s incredible to recognize how much more I can really donate compared to what I could have done by being a sad man and continuing to build car components.

So, what I totally understood is that it’s all about freeing oneself from the idea of “speculation” that often comes to the mind of the general public when discussing the career of a day trader and start thinking about the genuine intent of the very person embracing this trading career. Pure positive intent with hard work always win.

Only by doing what you love will it be possible to get up the very next time you fall without losing the enthusiasm of being part of the most amazing journey. The value of waking up every day with the joy of embracing whatever is going to happen with a light of positivity and learning how to enjoy every lesson learned while grinding up to the next top is simply priceless.

Finally, if this is a question that ever came to your mind I’m here to say that you’re not alone. Quite frankly, this is a very noble issue to raise within ourselves. In a world that too often doesn’t seem to care about how to act in order to make the difference for a better world, being that one drop of hope in the right direction matters more than we think.
