Hey everyone, Ross Cameron here! Today was another green day in my world of day trading, bringing you my latest trades from the road. From my mobile office inside a converted sprinter van, currently stationed in Canada, I’ve been able to navigate the stock market using improved internet technology. The boosts in internet speed and stability have been a real game-changer for my trading setup over the past few years.
Morning Trade Recap
This morning kicked off with some intriguing action on the stocks. I started by checking my top gappers and after-hours gainers. Overnight, I had my eye on JBDI which had an interesting IPO move, climbing from $6 to $12, then squeezing up to $16 after hours. But by the time I was ready to trade, it was already selling off. It was a bit of a letdown because it had the right float and potential (Results not typical).
Navigating the Trades
Throughout the morning, the stock market showed quite a few quick but small opportunities. I found success with BSLK, which was leading the gappers list. It was a bit of a grind, but a series of small trades led to a decent cumulative profit of +$1,417.58. I also capitalized on some moves with VRAX, managing to secure a nice profit of +$2,092.02 from several trades (Results not typical). The plan is always to hit base hits instead of going for home runs, and today was no different.
Managing Wins and Losses
There were moments today where my patience paid off, even when trades didn’t go exactly as planned. I aimed to be careful with the stocks that were not showing enough volume or were too volatile and unpredictable. It’s about knowing when to step back and not push too hard on those lower quality setups.
Lessons from Today’s Session
The importance of trading the market that’s in front of you is something I can’t stress enough. Even when I want a bigger day, it’s critical not to let that cloud the judgment about the current conditions. Like today, if stocks aren’t showing the quality I look for, the best strategy is often to take what’s given and not chase after what’s not there.
Wrapping Up
In this fast-paced environment of day trading, I’ve learned to appreciate even the smaller wins. Ending the day with a profit and coming close to my daily goal was quite satisfying (Results not typical). Remember, my results aren’t typical, and it’s important to always manage risk wisely in trading.
